I have no reasonable or justifiable explanation for why I made these. There was no event or occasion or even forethought. The simple truth is that I bought a huge vat of strawberries and hadn’t used them all up. Time was running out on them and something needed to be done.
These are so insanely easy I’m not sure why we don’t make them all the time. Somehow chocolate covered strawberries got relegated to the world of special occasions. They really don’t have to be and once you read this you’ll see why you can have them, basically, whenever you want.
A lot of people think of fruit salad as just being fruit cut up in a bowl. To be honest, that can be pretty darn good. But when we think of vegetable salads we tend to assume there’s some kind of dressing on it. Why shouldn’t a fruit salad have the same treatment?
