Chocolate Covered Strawberries

These are so insanely easy I’m not sure why we don’t make them all the time. Somehow chocolate covered strawberries got relegated to the world of special occasions. They really don’t have to be and once you read this you’ll see why you can have them, basically, whenever you want.

Seriously, I made these in 10 minutes with my 3 year old “helping” me. It was as simple as melting the chocolate, dipping the strawberries, refrigerating. Done. And you will be so glad you did this.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

  • 7 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 pint strawberries

  • In the top of a double boiler or in a dish set above hot water melt the chocolate. Once melted whisk to smooth and turn off the heat.
  • Line a sheet pan with wax paper.
  • Holding the stem of the strawberry submerge it in the chocolate rolling to make sure it is covered all over.
  • Place the strawberry onto the wax paper lined pan.
  • When all the strawberries have been coated put them in the refrigerator for about an hour to harden.
  • Serve chilled.
